What is Content Marketing?
Nowadays, almost everyone is on the internet, and everyone who consumes content - some are even addicted to consuming digital content.
Marketing teams and small business owners can use this to their advantage by strategically building content that connects with the desired audience. This strategy is known as content marketing.
But what is content marketing?
To put it simply, videos, images and written word on various digital platforms that gives information to people. While content marketing can directly pitch products or services, it can also provide useful content to your audience to help them solve problems.
Most businesses use several forms of content to engage with their audiences across platforms like social media, websites and ads.
How do you strategize your content?
Here are four general ways to focus your reels, podcasts, blog posts or shorts YouTube:
Customer-centric
Focus on your customer. Show your customer what their lives would be like if they used your product. Show them what they are missing, but make it about them, not – your product/service.
Educational
Teach your customer how to use your product/service. What are the benefits your product/service have? Videos of seeing the product in action, blogs of tips, images of before and afters are all great ways to make an impression.
Series Content
You’re building a cohesive message that focuses your audience on your intended outcome, therefore you’ll want the message to be longer than a 30 second reel. Because you don’t want to have the same exact message blasted on reel after reel, you’ll want to think of a larger story and break it up over several posts to extend your audience's interest.
Content marketing is powerful but may not bring in thousands of new followers at day 1. You’ll want a systematic approach and patience. When you build a strategy that is useful to your audience, you’ll find the right people – and that is the goal.
